Voiding

A market that cannot settle is voided and refunded, never left frozen.

If a market still cannot be settled seven days after its resolve time, and its resolver still does not have what it needs, anyone can void it. This is what stops collateral from being locked forever.

In a voided market, each whole share of either side redeems for 0.5 ETH, which returns exactly the collateral the market holds.

A market cannot open on a coin that has no price to read. If a coin’s launch is rescued after its market opens, there is no price left to read, so a market that has not collected its readings ends this way.
